MANDATE OF THE HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT

Established on November 1, 2016, the Human Resource Department is dedicated to developing and managing value-added human resource policies and programs. Our mission is to ensure fair selection and development of our diverse workforce. We are committed to providing a stable work environment that offers equal opportunities for learning and personal growth. We encourage creativity and innovation to enhance the effectiveness of the Centre’s staff.

FUNCTIONS OF THE HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT

    1. Collaborative Partnership: Work with the Directorate, department heads, sections, and other stakeholders to implement an effective human resource mechanism at the Centre.
    2. Recruitment: Identify and hire suitable job candidates.
    3. Compliance and Performance: Ensure adherence to the scheme of service for placement, promotions, and performance evaluations.
    4. Training and Development: Equip employees with the necessary skills for current and future roles through training, seminars, conferences, and both short- and long-term programs.
    5. Career Development: Foster staff development across various career paths.
    6. Daily HR Management: Address day-to-day human resource issues.
    7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the 2003 Labour Act, and other statutory requirements.

  • Record Maintenance: Maintain staff records, including nominal rolls and statutory documents.
  • Leave and Attendance Administration: Manage leave, attendance, and disciplinary processes.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisals and management.
  • Internal Marketing: Coordinate with public relations for internal marketing efforts.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other functions assigned by the Executive Director.
