ACCOUNTS

 History

Established in 1975, the Accounts Department began with a team of three: a Principal Accounting Assistant, an Accounts Clerk, and a Storekeeper. Over the years, it has grown significantly and now boasts a staff of sixteen, including accounting personnel and storekeepers. Mr. Samuel Odame, the Accountant, currently heads the department. The Accounts Department utilizes computerized accounting systems to provide fast and efficient services to both staff and clients of the Centre.

    • Store requisitions
    • Budgeting
    • Cost and Management
    • Sale and Services

Main Activities

  • Ensures the implementation and maintenance of cost control measures at the Centre.
  • Works to generate additional revenue to supplement government funding.
  • Submits periodic financial reports to the Board and final accounts to the Auditor General.
  • Manages payroll and ensures timely payment of staff salaries.
  • Ensures the proper documentation and receipt of materials purchased by other departments.
