History
The Engineering and Works Department was established in September 2011. It is tasked with the repair and maintenance of laboratory equipment, industrial machinery, buildings, and vehicles to support research activities. Additionally, the department provides training for engineering students from polytechnics and universities through industrial attachment programs.
Functions
- Responsible for repair and maintenance of Laboratory equipment and other machinery used at the Centre
- Maintenance of motor vehicles and logistics support
- Repair and renovation of buildings, furniture and provide accommodation for staff
- Training of students on attachment
